Cascading Styles was started in 2019 by Freja Smith to provide personalised web design services for creative individuals and small businesses, and help them to stand out among a crowd of ready-made templates and uninspired styles.
What does it mean?
The name comes from the acronym CSS which stands for Cascading Style Sheets. If web pages are built using HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), they are styled using CSS. With CSS you can control all aspects of the way a web page looks including type, colour, transition effects, position etc.
Who started it?
Freja graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London in 2014 with a BA in Graphic Design & Interaction. Since then she has developed her graphics and web design skills through a combination of work and self-initiated learning.
She regards herself as an artist and HTML/CSS is her medium of choice. She likes to explore new ways to emulate the natural world through texture, colour, form and collage. View her personal profile at frejachristiana.com.
